How to Find Board Game Players
Board gaming is better with friends. Whether you're new to the hobby or moving to a new city, here is how to build your gaming group.
1. Local Game Stores (FLGS)
Your Friendly Local Game Store is the hub of the community. Most host:
- Open gaming nights
- Tournaments
- Demo days
2. Meetup.com
Search for "Board Games" or "Tabletop" in your city. These events are usually beginner-friendly and great for networking.
3. BoardGameGeek Forums
The BGG regional forums are a goldmine for finding specific groups or players in your area.
4. Library Events
Many public libraries now have board game collections and host game nights.
