Endless Drawing is a local-first infinite-canvas drawing app. We designed it to keep your work on your device. This policy explains exactly what data the app handles, why, and the limited cases where data leaves your device, always at your initiative.

Summary

Your drawings stay on your device by default. We do not run any servers, and we do not collect, transmit, or sell your artwork or personal information.
No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no crash-reporting SDKs. The app contains no third-party analytics or advertising libraries.
Two optional features can move data off-device, only when you turn them on: Google Drive backup and screen recording. Both are described below.

Data the app stores on your device

Drawings and documents: your strokes, images you import, layers, bookmarks, palettes, themes, and per-canvas settings. Stored in the app's private storage.
App preferences: brush, color, and display settings.

This data lives in the app's private sandbox and is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.

Android Auto Backup

If you have Android system backup enabled, Android may copy the app's drawings and preferences to your personal Google account backup. This is a standard Android feature controlled by your device settings. We explicitly exclude your connected-account identity from this backup.

Google Drive backup (optional)

If you choose to connect a Google account for backup:

We use Sign in with Google and request a single, narrow permission scope: drive.file. This grants the app access only to the files it itself creates in your Drive. It does not give the app access to your other Drive files.
Backups contain your own drawings, uploaded to your own Google Drive. We do not receive, store, or have access to a copy on any server of ours.
When connected, the app displays and stores on your device the connected account's email address and display name so you can see which account is linked. This identity is excluded from cloud backup and device-to-device transfer.
Access tokens are held in memory only for the duration of a backup and are never written to disk or logged.
You can disconnect the account at any time from within the app, which clears the stored identity and any in-memory token.

Your use of Google Drive is also governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Screen recording (optional)

The app includes an optional screen recorder for capturing your drawing process:

Recording only starts when you explicitly tap record and grant the Android screen-capture permission. A persistent notification is shown while recording.
Recordings are saved locally to your device's Movies/Endless Drawing folder. They are not uploaded or transmitted anywhere by the app.

Permissions we request and why

Internet / Network state: only to upload to your Google Drive when you use the optional backup feature. No network calls are made otherwise.
Foreground service / media projection: to run the optional screen recorder.
Post notifications: to show the recording-in-progress notification with a Stop control on Android 13 and later.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or artwork with third parties. The only data transfer is the optional, user-initiated upload of your own drawings to your own Google Drive.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Data retention and deletion

All app data is stored locally. To delete it, clear the app's data or uninstall the app. To delete Drive backups, remove the app's files from your Google Drive, or disconnect the account in-app and delete the backup folder it created.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this document.
